Flower Bag

Hi there! Just wanted to post another project that I have been working on. One of my friends who is a My Mary Kay Consultant bought some plan white bags from Wal-Mart, and asked if I would stamp them for her upcoming conferance. So, I went to her blog for inspiration on colors and made some cute stamped flowers. The ink and stamps are from Close To My Heart. The colors were watermelon and black. I am not sure what the stamp set is off the top of my head. I stamped some flowers in watermelon and some in black. Then, I stamped the centered in the opposite color. I then raised the centers on pop dots. They are so cute in simple. You could even stamp some tissue paper to match your bags. Now wouldn't that be lovely.

Edible Fireworks

Here are some cute Fireworks that I made that are full of candy. I went green for this project by using toilet paper rolls. I then cut paper 4 x 6 to roll around the roll. I then cut circles for the point and for the bottom. I hot glued the point and the bottom on after I hot glued a kabob stick inside of the toilet paper roll. The point was glued using elmer's school glue (didn't have any other kind in the house). The paper is from Close To My Heart. Hope you like.

Sayings from the kiddos

Nothing to post as of pics of projects today, but I thought I would add some cute things the kids have done here lately. Ian will now answer questions. If you ask him what does a cow say? He says Moo with his lips all pooched out like he is going to kiss you...so cute. He will also answer what does a cat say? He says Ow instead of Meow, but I know what he is trying to say. When he wants something, and you say what do you say he will say what sounds like cheese which is really please.

Audrey has her own little saying, too. If she ask you for raccoons you better be turning on the tv for some cartoons. And if she says she is playing with a holy poly she is probably playing with a roly poly.

That's about all the fun sayings with the kiddos that I have for the moment. Stayed tuned for more.

bluebonnet pics

Just wanted to add a few pics of my cuties in the bluebonnets. I really wanted a family pic and one of the cuties together, but the weather wasn't cooperating and Ian didn't really like the bluebonnets.

Hip Hip Hooray, It's a Birthday Card

Hi there! Just wanted to post a cute birthday card I made for my niece whose birthday is in May. I have no idea what company any of the paper is from. The ink and stamp is from CTMH. My niece has a stuffed hippo that she carries around a lot, and the cake is going to be a hippo. So, I thought it would be perfect to make a hippo card. I pretty much cased this hippo card over on the Share ~ Inspire ~ Create blog. I just used different paper, and changed my hippo up a bit. Let me know what you think.

Here is a close up of the hippo.

A birthday project

I just wanted to share this with you. I made this one for my sister-in-law, and I made one pretty close to this one for my mom for her birthday. The idea came when I saw Lauren Meader's Timeless Template idea here. If you haven't checked out her blog it rocks. You should take a look here. Anyway, I thought I could make my own template. So, that is what I did. Not as good as her template, but it's pretty close. Here is a picture of the front of the template. the pocket holds items from a beginner's sewing kit I picked up at Wal-Mart.

Here is a close up of the flower. I stamped a flower from the Close To My Heart My Acrylix Set called Flower Child. I then used my water brush pen and used the same ink diluted in the lid of the ink pad to color the inside of the flower image. To give it a little bling, I used Liquid Glass to outline the image. I then covered it with Martha Stewart glitter.

This is a picture of what was included in the inside of the template. These are fat quarters that I purchased from Wal-Mart.

Hope you like my project. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Girl

My daughter, Audrey just turned 3 last Friday, I am a little late in posting it. I can't believe how time has flown by. One minute she was a little baby and the next she is a sassy little 3 yr old. I can't wait to see what she becomes. Happy Birthday Audrey!

Christmas project

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to show you something I made over the holidays.

These are just simple shower gels. I bought them in a set of 7 from Big Lots for $5. My paper is from the CTMH Evensong Creative Basics package. I hea embossed the top and bottom of my paper with some gold embossing powder (don't know what company, I have had it for a while). Then, I attached it to the bottle using double sided narrow tape. I attached the tag using red satin ribbon I picked up from Wal-Mart. Neat and inexpensive gift to give for the holidays.
